I like to make portraits. The challenge for me is to catch a person's personality, someone's essence. Everyone has an image of a person. With a photograph you can only catch a moment's impression. Sometimes you look nice on a photo, sometimes you don't even recognise yourself.

A portrait -whether drawn or painted- suggests much more than just a moment's impression. You will have one single copy of it and you can't order an extra copy.
